About Andrew

Schooled at Bishops, went abroad and spent a Gap year in the UK, where I travelled Europe and worked in pubs all over the UK. I came home and decided to go into the construction world, Plumbing was my calling and went to Western Province Technical College and Westlake Technical College to start my Plumbing course, I excelled in the subjects and this is where my passion for Plumbing came into play.

After my N1 & N2 courses were completed I did a 3 month practical in the workshop before I headed out to do my 2yr Apprenticeship I was taught all the necessary plumbing skills by Peter Lamond, who is a very wise plumber and has been in the industry for many years, he taught me to be a hands on plumber, which I am today, all the work is done by myself and my trusty apprentice Frank Mutaka.

We have gone from strength to strength, I have trained 2 Apprentices and put them through their trade test and they have passed with flying colours and are running their own qualified plumbing businesses in Cape Town now.

My father gave me the gift of being a tradesman. And thank him every day for the wonderful gift he gave me. Thank you Stedson Brian Duncan, you were a true role model to me and thank you for teaching me the skills to be where I am today.

About this site.

ADPlumbing.co.za was first registered more than a decade ago and I have taken several swings at web design since then – with limited success. Recently a friend of mine that owns a stills photography production company in Cape Town suggested trying WordPress and building a website that was fast for users, workes on mobile phones and so over this last December 2022 I decided to take a crack at it. We launched the new site in under a month and is fast and works well on mobile, albeit that I am still learning the ropes of WordPress so if we get something is wrong or inaccurate on the site please let me know and I will do my best to fix it.
