No Hot Water – Solving Hot Water Problems in Cape Town

Having problems with hot water

Being in a situation where you have no hot water is not good or very pleasant at all.
It can be a very big problem.
So in today’s article we are going to look and help you determine what can possibly be the reason why you do not have hot water.

The very first thing that you need to do when you discover that there is no hot water is to find out what kind of water heater you have installed. There are two kinds that a person can get namely a gas water heater or an electric water heater.
Normally the heater will be labelled whether it is electric or gas, so is should not be too difficult to find out.

With each of the heaters you will probably find two problems that are the most commonly.
When we look at a gas water heater, the first problem you can get is probably just that the light which is known as a pilot lights needs to be re lit. If you don’t know what a pilot light is, well it is a knob with a on and off switch options.

The second problem you can get with a gas heater is actually a very simple one.
Check to make sure that the gas is turned on.
With a gas water heater you can also find a third cause that might be your problem, and that is that your heaters temperature is set too low. Simply just turn a bit higher and you should have warm water again.

Now let’s take a closer look at the electric water heater and their problems.
The first problem you can get is the same as with the gas heater, which is the fact that your heaters temperature is too low. Once again very simple, just set it higher.
The second problem that you can get it you might have to reset the circuit breaker. The circuit breaker box is also known as a fuse box in some cases, and then you will have to replace the old fuse with a new one.

So you see, if you have no hot water, there is no need to start worrying, or call a plumber. With these easy steps, you can fix the problem yourself.
